After agreeing to do the English version of Astitva for Mahesh Manjrekar and playing a brief cameo of a sutradhar in his Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye, she has given her nod for Dharmesh Darshan`s most talked about film in recent times, Bewafaa, based on the theme of marital infidelity and adapted from B R Chopra`s earlier hit Gumrah.

And pray what could se be playing in the Anil Kapoor, Akshay kumar, Kareena and Shamita Shetty starrer? "Why, play Anil Kapoor`s wife", she says without battling an eyelid. This is the same role which yesteryears` screen mother Nirupa Roy played in the original as Ashok Kumar`s wife. Let`s not presume she`s off her mind. Knowing the former Miss Universe, the role has to have some depth for her to display her histrionics. For the proof, one would have to wait for a year, of course.
